More than 8,000 helicopter and snowcat skiers from around the world flock to Revelstoke, BC, Canada every year. However, they are no longer the only ones who can enjoy its perfect powder and varied alpine terrain thanks to Revelstoke Mountain Resort located on Mount Mackenzie. When completed, the resort will offer skiers and riders more than 20 lifts that access over 100 runs, turning this area into a world-class destination. But don't worry about getting around this massive mountain; Revelstoke has equipped its mountain with two high-speed quad chairs and an eight-passenger gondola making more time for skiing and riding.
The New Resort Village, set to open in December of 2009, offers retail and rental shops, lift ticket services, and a full-service restaurant. There is also a mid-mountain lodge equipped with a full-service restaurant, espresso bar, and a deck with spectacular views. Here you can take a break from skiing or riding and enjoy anything off the menu which includes: sushi, homemade burgers, a selection of panini and deli sandwiches, "build your own" pasta station, rice bowl of the day, kids menu, and some fresh homemade baking. A retail shop will also give you access to logo wear, souvenirs, hats, gloves, goggles, sunglasses, and other amenities. |
