Whether you're in search of a full-blown hiking vacation, or a gentle stroll in the woods surrounded by wildflowers, the hiking trail systems in Winter Park and Grand County including the Rocky Mountain National Park, will not disappoint. Winter Park is home to Colorado's longest Alpine Slide. Thrill seekers of all ages can launch themselves down 3,030 feet of dips and swooping turns. For the golfer the Winter Park and Fraser Valley offer four distinctively different Colorado mountain golf courses-all within 25 miles of each other-give golfers a variety of terrain and exciting layouts, all framed with spectacular mountain views. And don't forget whitewater rafting. Winter Park is a great jumping off point for riding the rapids of the Colorado and North Platte Rivers. Summer in Colorado at 9,000 feet above sea level is the ideal time to visit Winter Park for refreshing temperatures, spectacular scenery, and abundant recreation for the entire family.
