Brown's Canyon is Colorado and the country’s most popular rafting
adventure, featuring some of the best whitewater in Colorado. The
plunge through Pinball, Zoom Flume, Big Drop, Staircase, Widowmaker,
Raft Ripper, Seidel's Suckhole and Twin Falls will be an experience
you will never forget. This trip is so exciting that many of our customers
return to do it with us year after year. However, it is suitable for
beginning rafters because it starts with easy whitewater, giving beginners
enough experience in the first part of the trip so they can enjoy
the eight big rapids in Brown's Canyon. We share a private takeout
with one other rafting company so we are able to do all eight of the
big rapids in Brown's Canyon without adding a lot of slow water to
the end of your trip. Other companies use the public takeouts - they
take out at Hecla Junction and miss two of the biggest rapids, Seidel's
Suckhole and Twin Falls, or they go all the way down to Stone Bridge,
adding two miles of slow water to the end of their trips. Our customers
raft all the rapids in Brown's Canyon and then come off the river
while they are still excited and having a good time. We offer two
great Brown's Canyon trips - our Brown's Canyon
Bonus Half-Day Trip and our Brown's Canyon
One-Day Trip.
Brown's
Canyon Bonus Half-Day Trip: This 12-mile trip includes all
eight of the big rapids in Brown's Canyon plus numerous smaller rapids.
Other companies take out at Hecla Junction and miss the last two big
rapids - Seidel's Suckhole and Twin Falls. We do all of the rapids
in Brown's Canyon without adding extra slow water to the end of your
trip.
Brown's
Canyon One-Day Trip: Our one-day trip adds four miles of fun
but easy whitewater to the beginning of our Brown's Canyon Bonus Half-Day
Trip, giving rafters more experience in easier water before we enter
the canyon. After a great all-you-can-eat lunch, we do all eight of
the big rapids in Brown's Canyon plus numerous smaller rapids. Our
Brown's Canyon One-Day Trip is so popular that many of our customers
return to do it with us year after year.

The pioneer whitewater enthusiasts who first ran this northern section
of the Arkansas didn't bother to label rapids with intimidating names
describing their thrills. They are simply numbered, but you may lose
track counting off the 8 rapids on this section. Each Class III-V
rapid is punctuated by continuous whitewater in between, including
a steep ledge drop into No. 5. The paddling demands good physical
condition and a minimum age of 15 years. Half day trips leaving in
the morning and afternoon are available in addition to full day trips.
Lunch is included on full day trips.

The most advanced section on the Arkansas River begins in the little
mountain town of Granite, which quickly fades away as you enter the
exciting Granite Gorge. These Class III and IV rapids are merely a
warm-up for what comes next. Get ready to paddle hard as you journey
through the Rite of Passage, the gates of Pine Creek, where the river
narrows by half. Here you'll encounter the most continuous rapids
in the state. This is where the river becomes a creek and its gradient
drops an astounding 200 feet with a must-make crux move. This run
demands good physical condition and a minimum age of 15 years is required.

Eagle River
Located near Vail, Colorado, the western slope begins here with lodge
pole pines and aspen forests in the mountains giving way to the sagebrush
and junipers of the high desert. The Eagle River rafting experience
offers a variety of paddling for all levels of boating. The upper
sections, Dowd Chutes, are technical with more continuous whitewater;
while the lower sections, Lower Eagle, open up and become more forgiving
with the rapids spreading out.
Just off I-70, (exit 171) USFS (24745 US Hwy 24) The Eagle River (just
minutes from Vail and Beaver Creek) is the home of Dowd Chute and
offers some of the most intense and exciting early-season rafting
in Colorado. The quarter-mile stretch of river located in Dowd Junction
is the most aggressive part of the river. The constriction of the
banks creates the chute that you will blast through. This is a physically
demanding trip. Good physical condition is recommended and a minimum
age of 15 years is required. (Minimum age may fluctuate depending
on water levels and individual qualifications.)
There are plenty of rapids to get you wet with small holes and splashy
wave trains. A great whitewater trip for the whole family. Minimum
age 5 yrs and 50 lbs. (Minimum age may fluctuate depending on water
levels and individual qualifications.)
